The Knipex 87 26 Series VDE Cobra Water Pump Pliers are fitted with multi-component grips, VDE tested up to 10,000V and safe for work up to 1,000V. They conform to DIN EN / IEC 60900. They are adjusted by shifting one jaw directly on to the workpiece and can then be opened at the touch of a button off the workpiece. They have a fine adjustment for optimum adaptation to different sizes of workpieces and a comfortable handle width.
The slim size head and joint area allows for good access to the workpiece and they are self-locking on pipes and nuts: no slipping on the workpiece and low hand force required. The gripping surfaces have special hardened teeth, teeth hardness approx. 61 HRC which makes for low wear and stable gripping. The box-joint design gives high stability because of double guide and the guard prevents operators' fingers being pinched.
